The Freya’s Farm Sanctuary

Freya’s Farm Chicken Sanctuary is my animal rescue sanctuary. My main focus is for the rescue, recovery and ongoing care of ex-battery and ex commercial hens who have survived the egg industry. I also use the remedies from the Apothecary to support their health. From time to time I run a course on natural chicken keeping for those wanting to improve the health of their chickens. In addition to this I also take on roosters who have been dumped as a result of school hatching projects or backyard breeders.
I came across ex-battery hen rescue over 10 years ago through the outreach of Coast to Coast Animal Friends. Since then I have been focused on the rescue and care of ex-battery hens and hens who need special care. My Charity is in the process of becoming a registered not for profit organisation. It is self-funded and a large amount of the money earned through Seahorse Oracle Apothecary goes towards animal care and vet bills. I also have a beautiful rescued cat named Comet.
You can donate directly to the chickens via our Paypal link on this page, or make a purchase from this website to support my rescue. Thank you! A community makes more impact than a single person can. I appreciate any support you feel inspired to give. If you would like to see more about the chickens, please visit their instagram page @freyasfarmchickensanctuary.
The Norse Goddess Freya is our guide and protector of the Sanctuary, she is a goddess of magick and healing and is often pictured surrounded by animals. Donations are not currently tax deductible but will be soon!
